About Me

Nice to meet you, I'm Julia and I'm a product designer. I find a lot of joy in exploring new ways for users to interact with technology, specifically through beautifully and seamlessly designed experiences. I believe that a product is only as good as its design, and I spend a lot of time making sure that design is high quality. I studied Psychology at the University of Michigan before moving to NYC to pursue a career in product design. My first year in the city I completed Shillington, a graphic design bootcamp. Afterwards, I was offered a position at Hinge, The Dating App, where I worked for almost four years. I joined Hinge at the startup stage (I was the 25th employee!) and helped grow the company into the widely-known dating app that it is today. After Hinge, I joined Spotify. I helped out with product design on Spotify for Artists, the backstage tool that allows artists, managers, and labels to manage their artist’s pages, music, and keep track of their audiences. I spent about a year there before finally making the big leap to launch my own design studio, Rebel Studios. Nowadays, I'm based on Santa Monica and I spend my time running Rebel Studios. Every day, I get to do what I love for clients that care.
